Happy 4th of July!
It was a hot one! Oh my word, friends – Did you make it through the heat alright? If you were in Manchester at their annual parade – Chances are you saw us! And it was HOT. I’m pretty sure my amazing crew was drenched with sweat, but they rallied and made it through with the help of our fellow parade watchers offering water and lemonade! Thank you to all of you who kept us hydrated – We did have water on our truck but with so many gracious friends we barely needed it!
Did you see us? Did you see your friends? Did you recognize anyone on our float! In case you missed us, here are a few images! We had so much fun!
This years crew consisted of a familiar face from last year, one of my very dearest friends, Sophia Martz, whom so many of you recognized from her wonderful family dental practice in Manchester by-the-Sea. (If you need an wonderful dentist — go see her! You’ll adore her too!) When I asked Sophie if she would join us again she was so sweet and told me she already assumed she was! That’s loyalty, people! Hot day, walking for two hours, all with a smile on her face! Sophie, your smile is so beautiful, your light is radiant. Thank you for sharing your 4th of July with me again! I loved having you by my side. We love you! Gotta love Selfie iPhone pictures 🙂
The two other gorgeous people were my beautiful cousin Melissa and her boyfriend Steve. They were absolute rockstars for us! It doesn’t hurt that they are both easy on the eyes! If your kids got a ton of candy from us, you can blame Steve! He loves making the kids smile! Missy and Steve, I am so incredibly grateful you made the trip from Rhode Island to spend the 4th with us. Not only did with have an awesome time with you (of course) but you were such an amazing help to us and made the parade so much fun. Thank you for sweating all morning with us – You rock! We love you!
Last but certainly not least, I cannot even begin to explain how much hard work this guy did for me! Remember last week, when it was 98 degrees and 100% humidity. Guess what my amazingly talented boyfriend was doing? That’s right, he was building my float! To say I’m lucky and blessed is an understatement. It nearly cost him heatstroke but he did it – and it was/is absolutely amazing! Not only did he build the whole frame (paint it and secure everything) but he also got to enjoy my panic and anxiety all week about what I had to get done too! Lucky guy, I tell you! Dave, I am so grateful to have you by my side and helping me every step of the way. The way you believe in me and in my business means more than I can tell you. The way you help me grow and the way you encourage me is something I will always be in debt to you for. I cannot imagine making this journey without you – You are so special and mean so much to me. Thank you for helping me follow my dreams. I wouldn’t want to be on this journey with anyone else but you! I love you. (Nice job with the picture, Sophie!)
Of course, it’s not a post about 4th of July without some firework pictures! We headed out last minute to the Gloucester Fireworks and I was playing around with some settings — I love the way these turned out!
Happy 4th of July Friends! See you again soon!
Much Love,
Keri
