beloved. Sarah & Jose : (re)Married. |Keri Jeanne – Manchester, MA photographer

When I first met Sarah she was this adorable teenager who was interested in being a camp counselor at the Summer Playground where I was working.  She was like a burst of sunshine – so full of life; her energy and laughter was infectious, we all knew she was a perfect addition to our staff without a doubt!  It seems we were just giggling about silly things, like the fantastic color of our staff shirts (they were a bright burnt sun yellow – not the most flattering!) along with the rest of our staff, but in just a blink of an eye Sarah went off to college, graduated, got married, and started a family of her own.  Due to some pregnancy/delivery complications, Sarah and Jose actually married a year ago but sadly, none of their family could be there with them as they were isolated at the hospital.  But, I am happy to report, they planned a renewal of their vows and a celebration with many of their family and friends.  I was so excited when Sarah and her mom, Jackie, inquired about having me photograph the wedding.  There is just something that is so much fun about shooting such a magical event for someone you know! It is truly an honor to see so many familiar faces surrounding such a beautiful couple to celebrate their love.

Sarah and Jose decided to get ready at the Sharksmouth Estate in Manchester, MA where they had a beautiful backyard of green gorgeous grass that overlooked the stunning ocean.  The house is incredible – My fantastic second shooter Ms. Maura of Irmalou Photography and I agreed we could have shot their all day 🙂   One of the greatest parts of getting ready at this venue was that Sarah and Jose decided to do a ‘first look’ where they saw each other before the ceremony and we got to do some beautiful portraits of just them on the grounds before we headed to the ceremony.

Once we got to the ceremony and reception site, both held at 43 Church (formerly the Lyceum) in Salem, MA we took a few fun shots before the ceremony.  The ceremony was perfect, simple and eloquent. Both Jose and Sarah read their vows that they wrote to each other in the hospital a year prior.  It was so beautiful to have everyone that loves them hear and see them pledge their love for each other again!

The night was just dreamy. Everyone looked amazing. Jose surprised Sarah with a slide show of images they have shared over the last two years. Sarah’s uncle who has an amazing floral business, flew in from L.A. to create her flowers for the day. Jackie, Sarah’s mom, worked endlessly to get all the details just right! Jose’s family traveled from great distances. There was so much love and help that went into celebrating this day of these two amazing families joining as one. It was all just so perfect…

Sarah and Jose, your wedding was fantastic.  Although you may have already been married, the wedding day you celebrated with so many people that love you truly was incredible.  It was an honor to be in the presence of your kind of love.  You truly are the ‘once in a lifetime’ kind of love. You have so many people that love you.  Embrace that love, welcome that to your new family. Max is so lucky to have you as parents. He definitely knows how to pick two of the best parents out there.

Thank you for sharing your day with me. I can’t wait to show you the rest of your images 😉 We will be in touch soon..

Much Love,
Keri
