One of my favorite things is getting to reconnect with my clients every year. You may recognize these little faces from the galleries above. I was so excited when Amanda wanted to mix it up and do something on the beach this year – Last year our fall session was in the leaves and absolutely beautiful, (one of my favorite fall locations for sure!) but its a nice contrast to do a future session in a different location so when the images are displayed around your home you get a nice variety of locations and it doesn’t all look the same!
One of the greatest blessings about my job is I get to watch these families grow and these children grow up! I have said it before but one of the most helpful things you can do when hiring a photographer is to stick with them. Yes, of course, that sounds like a business plea but its really in the best interest of your kids. Often times kids are leery of new people – of new experiences – of what they have to do. Some of the best photos I get with my clients are from repeat clients because the kids don’t have to ‘warm up’ to me – or get to know me every single session. Usually by the end of the session the kids are asking to have a playdate again!! The teacher in me loves this – the Mom in me loves new friends for my kids! The best part for our next session is that I am familiar to them – and often a welcomed sight when they remember they get smarties or lollipops too!
This session was no exception — When Maya and Nathan came out Maya was holding my hand as soon as we started walking down to the beach and while Nathan needed a little bit longer it was no time that he was playing games with me too. It is something I don’t take lightly – it is something I have so much gratitude for. I feel so blessed my clients share their treasured memories with me – but that they continuously trust me to capture these moments as their family grows. Thank you – it means so much to me.
Amanda and Marc – Thank you so much for sharing these memories with me – As always, I absolutely loved hanging out with you guys and one of these days we will have to get together outside of our session! I hope these memories cover the walls of your home and remind you just how beautiful your family is.
Much Love,
Keri
