******PLEASE NOTE!!!! I HAVE A LOT OF BACK BLOGGING I WILL BE POSTING OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS… PLEASE SEE THE DATE AT THE TOP OF EACH POST WHICH CORRESPONDS TO WHAT DAY WE DID SOMETHING!*******
Wednesday, September 10th.
We were so excited to spend the day with our good friend and O.A.R.’s sax player, Jerry. Not only was it Rick’s birthday, but Jerry was flying in because he was asked to play the National Anthem at Fenway Park!!! Jerry has been a long time Red Sox fan so this even more then just an honor!! We packed up Jackson and headed to the airport early in the morning to pick up Jerry. After a short drive through the city we were on a guided tour all around Fenway and got to see the ins and outs of all the cool spots! Needless to say Rick, Jerry and I thought it was pretty cool! Jackson – yeah – he’ll think the pictures are cool in years to come! After our tour Jerry was allowed to sound check on the field for a few minutes before we headed out… While Jerry was sound checking – Jackson decided to RUN ONTO THE FIELD!?!?! Good thing Rick is faster then I am and picked him up before he did some damage — Jackson knows I can’t move that fast lately!
It was so cool to see Rick and Jackson together at Fenway – Granted they won’t go to Jackson’s first game for a few years or so, but looking around and being able to be on the field was so awesome!
We headed back home after that so Jackson could nap and stay with Papa while Jerry, Rick and I all headed back into the city for the game! We headed back out onto the field and got to watch Jerry play a fantastic version of the Nation Anthem! I snapped some shots for him and of course of Jackson’s favorite — WALLY!! We stayed for the game, but unfortunately with this pregnant Mama sitting in those chairs – I made the boys leave when it went into overtime! Good thing because it went until 1am!!!! We left around 10:30pm – Oh how I would have been cranky!!! 🙂
Jerry – We are so proud of you – You did such an amazing job!
Thank you for being such a good friend to us!! We love you!!!
xoxo
